My name is Katie Berry, and I’m a sophomore. This is my first year on The Journal! I write for the Entertainment section. Besides being on The Journal staff, I’m also a member of our show choir, Ladies First, and I participate in the theatrical productions every chance I get. I was inducted into the International Thespian Society last year in the spring. So far, I’ve played roles in Southport’s productions of “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” three coffee houses, five one acts. I was also on crew last year for the spring play, “The Beverly Hillbillies.” My favorite food is breadsticks from Olive Garden. Outside of school, you can catch me binge watching Netflix or hanging out with friends. My favorite vacation spot is Clearwater, Florida because it's beautiful and it gives me different vibes than Indianapolis does. I’m really excited to be on The Journal staff this year because I think it's really cool to be a part of a team that works together to publish something great, and it's awesome to think my work is being read and seen by other people.
