The SHS girls track team heads to Arsenal Tech to face off against the Titans tonight.

Starting off the season 1-2, the Lady Cards are looking to get to .500 on the year. In their meet last year, SHS strived in the distance events. Tech came into the meet with three runners in the mile and none in the two mile. Sophomore Christy Dean, who will be running in the two mile and participating in the high jump,

“Tech is one of those teams where we never know what to expect from them year to year,” Dean said. “Really every event will be key to who wins.”

The Cards will also be without their top 800 runner. Sophomore Erin Sullivan will be missing the meet due to a club soccer game. She runs the 4×800, open 800 and 4×4.

The meet tonight begins at 5:30 this evening. The girls are next in action on Wednesday, April 22nd against Perry Meridian.
