The Journal Rewired

Elizabeth Valadez
Hey y’all, it’s Elizabeth Valadez, and I’m back for my second year on The Journal as Features Editor. I’m also involved in band, Mr. Knight’s leadership group and I am the junior class treasurer. I’m a nerd and want to be a high school English teacher. Or a lawyer. Or a social worker. I'm not very sure. My spirit animal is English teacher Sam Hanley, but my favorite animal is an orangutan. On any given day, you could probably find me in Stacey Matlock’s classroom. “All American” is my favorite show and I advise everyone reading this to stop whatever you’re doing and watch it. Other good binge-worthy shows are “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Queer Eye” and “Friends.” My favorite band is Mumford & Sons because their music is just so beautiful and has this crazy ability to calm me down. I don’t have any pets which is possibly the saddest fact about me because this means I don’t have a legitimate excuse to not go out with friends. Obviously, I am not a people person but I also love talking, so I don’t really make sense. I take pride in my dark humor and ability to make people feel uncomfortable. You should follow me on Twitter @eela_estrella because I’m funny.

To keep up with my stories and many others follow me @evaladezjrnl on Twitter.
