The Journal Rewired

Sofia Salas
Hello, my name is Sofia Salas. My position on the 2015-2016 Journal staff is as a features writer. I am excited to be involved with the newspaper and to begin my experience as a Journal staffer! Although I am involved with the newspaper, there are a few other activities and hobbies I participate in. Surprisingly enough, one of my favorite things to do is volunteer. It’s not your average teenager’s favorite hobby, but it is something I really enjoy doing. Currently, I volunteer at Lifebridge Community Center on Monday nights to help younger kids after school. When the school year progresses I am an active member of Key Club, where I take up many of the volunteering opportunities offered. Lastly, what I like to think is an interesting hobby, is an art class I attend at Garfield Park. That is the gist of my quirky self, and I’m looking forward to a good year!
