Hunter Faut, A&E Reporter
Hi, my name is Hunter Faut, and I’m an Arts and Entertainment reporter this year on The Journal! I’m a sophomore here at Southport, and it’s my first year with student publications. I decided to take journalism to try something new, and I absolutely fell in love with the class. I’m looking forward to many of the opportunities The Journal has to offer, along with the stories yet to come. Aside from The Journal, I also am in the Southport marching band, jazz band and South Indianapolis’ hockey team, the South Stars. I listen to rock music everywhere I go, and one of my favorite hobbies is going to concerts with my mom. I’m a big animal lover, and at home, I have four Great Danes, two cats and a blue and gold macaw. I try to challenge myself in school with advanced classes so I can better my future chances with a successful career. I hope to go to college for aeronautical engineering and work at NASA someday.

Kiley Bowman, Photographer
Hi everybody!! My name is Kiley Bowman, a sophomore here at Southport High School, and I will be taking photos for The Journal. I am so excited to be starting my first year on The Journal. My kind of fun is Roblox. I eat, sleep, Roblox, repeat. Just kidding, I do more than play Roblox. I really do like to keep myself busy. Many people know but for those who don’t, I like activities such as soccer, track, lacrosse and now, The Journal. I play soccer in the fall and track and lacrosse in the spring, but I will still produce outstanding pictures for you to look at. Overall, I am beyond excited to be in The Journal this year and to be able to take pictures!!
