The Cards baseball team played in the county tournament last Friday and Saturday.  The team beat Park Tudor 7-3 and lost to Decatur Central 10-0.  The Cards play Bloomington North tonight, May 13.  It is senior night for the team and the Cards will be honoring seniors Dennis Maxey, Mike Jones, Bailey Julian and Robbie Taylor.

The Cards haven’t played Bloomington North yet this season due to a new conference alignment, but, according to head coach Mr. Scott Whitlock, North’s team has always been good in past years.  He says that this year Bloomington North’s record hasn’t been the greatest.  However, Whitlock isn’t worried about their opponent but rather how the Cards will perform.

“It depends on which of our teams shows up,” Whitlock said.  “If the team that gives teams like Columbus East and Park Tudor tough games, then we will be fine.  But if the team that showed up against Decatur shows up, then it’s going to be a long night.”
