The SHS boys and girls swimming teams competed in the Cardinal Classic this past Saturday. The boys and girls were both in the top three for team placings respectively.

The boys placed second and the girls placed third out of six teams. The five other teams were Perry Meridian, Franklin Central, Warren Central, Heritage Christian and Cardinal Ritter. Perry Meridian won the meet for the boys and Franklin Central won the meet for the girls.

“I felt (that) we did really good,” sophomore Jacob Smith said. “We dropped some times, personally I dropped some times. I think we did good as a whole.”

The boys team now has a record of 5-2, and the girls team now has a record of 5-3.

The boys and the girls team will be having a dual meet away against Whiteland on Tuesday at 5:30.
