The SHS wrestling team has now moved to 4-3 after their match against Perry Meridian last night. The Cards fought hard, but were never in the match to win.

SHS only had two individual winners against Perry Meridian. Steven Moore and Robert Clark both beat their opposing wrestlers. Moore won by fall, and Clark won, 5-4 by decision over his opponent.

Coach Josh Holden is trying to be as positive as he can about the loss.

It may not show in the results, but our boys were ready for this dual,” Holden said. “We just have to be coachable as a team and improve, pay attention to details.”

The Cards will wrestle next at the Columbus North Invitational this Saturday and hope to perform better.
“Going into the next match we are focused on wrestling our best all the time,” Holden said.
