Cards look to rebound against south side foe
January 8, 2016
It’s a new year for SHS basketball. After having a 5-4 record in 2015, the Cards look to move on.
For the first part of the season, the Cards have lost four close games. All of the games they lost have been by three points or less and two of them have been in overtime.
“People get caught up in wins and losses,” Coach Kyle Simpson said. “But the thing is we’ve lost four games by a total of 10 points and every game has come down to last possession or overtime.”
Friday the Cards will have a chance to rebound against the Franklin Central Flashes, who have won eight games in a row coming into the game.
If the Cards want to end the Flashes streak, they are going to have to limit their turnovers according to Simpson. SHS will also look to pick up the pace against the Flashes and use their athletic ability to their advantage.
