Cards blow out conference foe

SHS racked up another Conference Indiana win by blowing out Columbus North 75-34 Friday night at Southport Fieldhouse.
Early in the game SHS took a controlling 21-7 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back. During this early run, SHS played a very aggressive defense. They were able to force Columbus North into 24 turnovers by the game´s end.
“I think our defense played fast… and we just punched them in the mouth early,” Coach Kyle Simpson said.
Along with forcing many turnovers, SHS held Columbus North to 31 percent shooting and 25 percent on three pointers.
Joey Brunk lead the Cards in scoring with 22 points and all of them coming in the first 3 quarters.
