The biggest event for the boys tennis team this season was the conference match against Warren Central, on Sept. 17.

“We lost against Warren Central in the beginning (of the) year,” junior Seejay Patel said. “But we ended beat (Warren Central) by closer victory. We were getting better over this season.”

Also, this year, the tennis team got new coaches; Jordan Cross and Alireza Afshari.

The boys tennis team had a good season with new coaches. According to coach Cross, their goal for this season was that be better today than they were yesterday, and be even better than tomorrow.

“This team made other schools notice that Southport Tennis will be a force to be reckoned with here for the future season.” Cross said.
