Hello! I’m Alex McBride, and I am a junior this year. I participate in a few different activities here at SHS, one of those being band. I am the drum major for the marching band, and I also play in the Jazz and Advanced Concert Band.  When I am not in the band area, I am usually doing something for The Journal. This year, I will be writing for the News section. My favorite subject in school is science. I think it is the best subject because it allows us to develop new technologies, solve practical problems and solve Punnett squares. Outside of school, I do a lot of other things. My family and I love traveling and going to concerts. On the weekends, I am almost always playing golf with my dad or uncle. I am a very big Colts fan (even though they aren’t the best), and I shouldn’t say this, but I am also a Boston Celtics fan. Also, I strongly believe that pineapple does belong on pizza.
