Hello, my name is Jose Garcia-Cleofas. I am a sophomore, and this is my first year on The Journal as an A&E writer. I am excited for what the year will bring to me and to everyone. I’m also excited about the people I’ll meet, the things I’ll cover, the things I’ll write and much more. Throughout this last summer, I have done a variety of things, such as volunteering at animal shelters, visiting new places and spending time with friends and family. One of the things I mostly did over the summer was going around the city and viewing some interesting landmarks with my family. I love all my family, which includes my cat as well. My family has helped me all the way from pre-school to where I am right now. Even though all of my family isn’t here, I know that they are here with me, in spirit, guiding me through this part of my life in The Journal.
