Hi. My name is Lillie Youmans! I am a sophomore this year, and it’s my first year on The Journal staff as a culture writer. I also took full-year journalism last year and loved it.  Some of my favorite things to do are listening to music, reading, playing my ukulele and watching movies. My favorite artists are One Direction, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift, and my favorite song is “Two Ghosts” by Harry Styles. My plan is to one day have collected all of their vinyls for my record player. My favorite book right now is “The Secret Life of Bees” by Sue Monk Kidd, and my favorite author is Karen M. McManus. I play lots of different songs on my ukulele, but I usually just end up playing random chords that sound good together. My favorite movie is “The Notebook.” This movie is amazing because it’s an emotional roller coaster. You get happy and mad, and it makes you cry a little or a lot in my case. Anyway, I am very excited to be a part of The Journal this year!
