Hi! I’m Samantha Juarez, and I’m a sophomore here at SHS. I’m a writer for the Culture section, and I’m very excited to be in The Journal this year! Outside of The Journal, I play soccer and was on the SHS girls’ soccer team my freshman year and plan to be on the team this year as well. After I finish high school, I plan to attend college and study nursing. I want to study nursing because I like helping others. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and listening to music. One of my favorite artists is Ivan Corenejo, and I love his new album called “Mirada.” Also, my favorite movie and show genre is romance. All of that aside, I’m very excited to start writing for the Culture section!
