Zeid Alsalloum

Zeid Alsalloum, Culture Reporter

As-salam alaykum (Peace be upon you). My name is Zeid Alsalloum, and I am a sophomore here at Southport High School. I will be a first-year Culture writer for The Journal. If you told me I would join The Journal at the beginning of freshman year, I would have laughed in your face, but Mr. K and journalism class changed it all. Besides writing, I love playing sports, like soccer and basketball. I also love admiring scenery, especially nature and sunsets. Family trips to the beach and traveling to new places are some of my favorite activities. Ok, now enough yapping, I’m excited about what lies ahead with this amazing opportunity.
