Amanda Husselman, Reporter
I’m Amanda Husselman, I’m a senior at Southport High School, and I’m a Features Reporter for The Journal. When I’m not at school, I enjoy drawing digitally and traditionally, writing poetry and stories and hanging out with my cats, who are named Mickey, Mia and Sophie. I like to play video games that range from RPGs to relaxing, simple games to strategic puzzle games. I also like to read authors from the mid-1800s like Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Mellville, Gaston Leroux and R. L. Stevenson, but that’s not all. I also read mysteries, horror, autobiographies, historical fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy and other genres of all kinds. My music tastes are just as diverse, spanning from classical to metalcore to indie and all across the board. During my free time I also research psychology, psychopathology and sociology, and I love reading about history and case studies and anomalies of all shapes and sizes.
