After the recent loss of family members during the Thanksgiving holiday, turkeys nation-wide started grief counseling groups to help get through the rough times according to the leader, Jerry Gizzard.

“The group is focused on getting over the past Thanksgiving and mentally preparing for the next holiday,” Gizzard said.

Member Larry Bird explained the group gets over their fears by watching turkeys being prepared. This is an effective treatment according to Bird. The group is focusing on the families that celebrate Christmas with turkeys.
