It was a tough match throughout, having to deal with pouring rain at times. The Bears scored their first goal in the first half and led the Cards 1-0.
It was a physical day with many defensive plays throughout the entire match. Often times players on both teams would spend much of their time on the ground. The second Lawrence Central goal was scored near the ten minute mark of the second half. This served as assurance as SHS couldn’t come back.
