Phoebe Mawi, Opinion Editor

Hello, people say I am awkward. I guess people also say that I am a sophomore named Phoebe Mawi. Jesus, books, 80’s music, solving math problems, musicals, superhero shows/movies, and all the nerdy things make me happy. I am involved in book club (the IMC is my second home) and a few academic clubs. I play the cello, and I am a stagehand for theatre department. Joining The Journal was a big step out of my comfort zone, but I am excited to be part of the team. I will be writing for the entertainment and media sections this year. I don't really know how to end this bio because nothing about me is interesting enough to write down, so I am going to end on the only notable childhood memory I have. I rode an elephant at the zoo. I guess I was supposed to end with this too:
