SHS moves past Perry Meridian and onto the Sectional Championship

For the SHS Cards, their defense was the key to their success in their win last night. They defeated the Perry Meridian Falcons in the sectional semifinals on Friday, March 4. The final score of the game was 38 to 33.
Junior Keyon Miller played a key role in leading the Cards to a win after scoring 19 points. Miller tallied eight made field goals and three free throws. Senior Donte McDonald also connected on one three-pointer in the game.
Junior Nickens Lemba was the centerpiece for the Cards defense last night, adding one block to his already record setting season. He also scored 14 points on six field goals and two free throws and pulled down 13 rebounds in the win over the Falcons.
The SHS Cards are playing the Ben Davis Giants Saturday, March 5 in the IHSAA Sectional Championship. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.
