The SHS boys swimming team suffered a defeat last Thursday against the Perry Meridian Falcons, 124-53.

It was the boys and girls senior night at the meet. There were four seniors being honored during senior night ,two of which were boys, including seniors Anthony Bueckers and Josh Vidito.

Anthony Bueckers was the leading scorer for the team but believes that he should have gotten some better times than the ones he did get.

“They weren’t my normal events, but I thought it was pretty good for never doing them before,” Bueckers said.“I just gotta keep working hard in practice, and sometimes I stay after a little bit to work on my starts and turns so I just need to keep doing that.”

This is what he said he and the team need to work on the most so they can keep improving and in preparation for the sectionals meet. The sectional meet is on Saturday Feb. 21.

The team has time to prepare, before sectionals, including the next tournament competing in Conference Indiana. The next home meet is on Tuesday, Feb. 3, against Columbus North.
