Places of the world

Places of the world

Traveling is a fun and knowledgeful experience

Imagine being on a plane and taking off for your next adventure, whether it’s to the Caribbean, Europe, East Asia or maybe even to a different state. Wherever you go, traveling provides great opportunities for people.

It allows individuals to expand their thoughts on the world, see other cultures and even taste different cuisines. Traveling can also be an important part of exploring yourself.

Growing up is like being in a box of things you’re used to such as food, people and the surroundings. So when trying new experiences, it can open a person’s mind to how they see the world.

Going back to our imaginary plane, it’s heading to Thailand, flying across the globe, and finally landing in Pattaya City. The view is a beautiful landscape and architecture, and you realize that there is so much to explore in the world.

In Pattaya, there are so many foods with different spices and ingredients. Some to try are red curry, chicken in coconut soup or stir fry.

Not only tasting the cuisine but going off to explore the city of Pattaya, activities stretch as far as going to Nong Nooch botanical gardens, Jomtien beach and Buddha temples. Through these activities, it’s possible to meet people who might become long-lasting friendships.

Coming back from an eye-opening experience hopefully allows people to see more than just their hometown. You can gain more knowledge becoming a more open-minded person about the world seeing there is more to it than our hometown.

So let’s have more people take the time to save up some cash to get on a plane to breathtaking places, create new experiences, and find a little more about who they are as individuals.

Morgan Harmon, Photographer
Hey! I’m Morgan Harmon, and I am a new photographer for The Journal. As of this year, I’m a sophomore, and am on the soccer and swim teams. I enjoy going to school sporting events with friends to just have a good time. Another thing about myself is I love trying new things whether it’s food or a new sport/club I’ve never done before. I like challenging myself to be more outgoing and have more skills. So this year, I want to try new things like joining the girls lacrosse team or even meeting new people. I’m hoping I have enough time to do everything I want this year while still having fun. Aside from that, my main goal as a newbie on The Journal is to grow as a photographer and always learn something new so I can take better photos. Throughout the year I’d love to build friendships with those on the staff to really make this year fun.
