Oh my goodness gracious, how did we get here? It seems like just last week I was begging to be graduated so I wouldn’t have to take my exams (it was last week). Despite how much I love to complain, I wouldn’t trade my time at SHS for anything.
I have an endless amount of things to praise and people to thank from SHS that will absolutely not fit on this page, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet.
Mr. K always claims that The Journal is the best thing SHS has, and while he is very biased, I believe he’s right. Without The Journal, I know for a fact I wouldn’t be nearly as connected with my community as I am now, and I would likely still be the same shy freshman who was too scared to ask for a bathroom pass.
I also have to thank every teacher who has helped me grow into the person I am today. There are too many to name, but Mr. Maupin, Ms. Frantz and Ms. Fowerbaugh are just a few of the educators who supported me relentlessly.
Finally, I have to thank all of my friends, mainly my best friend in the whole entire world, The Journal EIC/Journalist of the Year/coolest redhead ever, Ava Rae Campbell. She’s been with me from the first day of kindergarten to the last day of high school, and I couldn’t imagine any of it without her. You’re never going to escape me.
The SHS community has been incredible to me, from beginning to end. From the class of ‘22 to ‘29, thank you to everyone who has been a friend or just a friendly face to brighten my day. Goodbye, beautiful people! #YOLO #nomore6a.m.alarms #streammayhembyladygaga <3
