Tomorrow night the SHS boys track and field team will participate in their first home meet of the season, home at Perry Stadium against Lawrence Central High School. This will be the first opportunity for the SHS boys to compete at the stadium this season.

The boys have not competed independently against the Lawrence Central Bears track and field team yet this season.

“Working hard is definitely what were going to have to be doing.” said junior Charlie Stroub.

Stroub was the only SHS runner to qualify at Indoor State this season for high jump. SHS will definitely be looking to Stroub as a leader tomorrow night.

Senior William Griffen will also be competing after an entire season off, recovering from a severe knee injury. Griffen says his previously torn MCL and Meniscus are not going to have any effect on him for this match or any other.

The boys take to the track tomorrow, at 5:30 pm.
