At a staff meeting this morning, Perry township officials announced to SHS faculty that they will seek board approval for current Southport Middle School principal Brian Knight to be the new principal for SHS starting next year. If Knight is approved by the school board at their meeting tonight, he will officially be the new principal of SHS. He will start his new position for the 2016-2017 school year after current principal Barb Brouwer has officially retired.
