Join in to help the Kids! Tomorrow at the boys basketball game against Lawrence North, SHS cheerleaders will be retrieving teddy bears from the Teddy Bear Toss to donate to places like Riley Children’s Hospital, battered women’s shelters, police stations, and fire stations.

Attendants will be able to toss bears onto  the court when an announcement is made. Cheer coach Ali Dehart says that the Cheer leading team mom came up with the idea.

“We want to encourage our cheerleaders to give back to the community and represent Southport High School in a positive way,” Dehart wrote in an email to the Journal.
