Boys soccer season recap

The boys soccer team did not have a regular season that lived up to the expectations set by past teams, but there were some bright spots according to co-captain junior Hunter Cocherell. One of the bright spots was the team making it to the finals of the county tournament for the first time in school history.

“It sucked not having that great of a regular season and coming up short in sectionals, but it was really cool making school history,” Cocherell said.

The team beat Park Tudor and Decatur Central in the first two rounds. Then they faced Lawrence Central in the semi-final game. The game went to overtime then proceeded to a penalty kick shootout. They lost the final game to Brebeuf Jesuit by a score of 4-1.
