This Thursday Sept. 3, the boy’s tennis team will take on the Flashes of Franklin Central. The Cards are 0-5 right now and are looking to add a win against the Flashes.

“Franklin Central provides a different match up, because (they’re) so balanced throughout their lineup,” Coach Harry Schwartz said.

The Cards are a young team who’s varsity lineup is made up of five freshman. The freshmen that will be playing singles will be Zach Bozarts (playing number two for singles) and Noah Hall (playing number three for singles).

Playing number one varsity doubles will be freshmen Colston Streit and senior partner Chase Cawthorne. At number two doubles are freshmen John Gunderson and partner Jacob Peters.

Freshman Colston Streit doesn’t exactly know how good Franklin Central will be, but he knows what he and his team need do to give them the best shot at winning.

“Consistency and always making sure to get (our) serve in no matter how slowly you have to hit it,” Colston Streit said.
