Humans of Southport: Mason McKinney

Rachel Bayler, Reporter

“C-9 basically told me they didn’t want (the flags hanging up), so I took the Confederate flag down. I ended up going through the rules, and it doesn’t say anything about me not being able to have the flags. So, I’m going to have the flags up until something happens. And, (the dean of students) threatened to suspend me for a day, so I took it down. And, now (I know) it says nothing about how I can’t have them, so they’re staying up until someone comes (to me) about them… It made me mad.”
