My heart thumped with excitement as I began to re-enter the wizarding world. “Fantastic Beast: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” did not disappoint when it came to bringing back magic on the big screen. With the beautiful creatures, magic and cinematography, this easily became my favorite film in the series. Although the movie made an enormous step in this installment than the previous, there was much room for improvement.

The cinematography and visual effects was what amazed me the most. The movie drew me in right away because of how the film made the viewer feel like they were actually there. The creatures appeared to be alive, and the CGI did justice to the franchise’s name, showing off how fantastic the beasts are.

This film has a lot of action, humor and emotional moments that are all brilliantly executed. I was on an emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every minute of it.

The characters were entertaining to watch and had terrific chemistry on screen, but there is no character development. This added to the film’s overall blandness. Despite the fact that there were some parts that I had to pay close attention to or didn’t fully comprehend, the cinematography and effects make up for it.

My favorite scene was when Dumboedore is selected from the audience as having a pure heart. My heart just burst because Rita Skeeter, a reporter at the Death Eater trials in Harry Potter, was continually telling readers how screwed up he was throughout the Harry Potter novels. I desperately wanted to think that Dumbledore was not just gifted, but also had a kind heart and I was overjoyed to witness that.

Although the plot was a little confusing at times, given how long I had been waiting for this film, I had hoped for a more well-structured plot. This lack of structure ultimately didn’t stop me from enjoying it. I like that each character has more depth, and the cinematography, acting and storyline kept the magic alive in our hearts.

“Fantastic Beast: The Secrets of Dumbledore” brought back the magic of the wizarding world for me. It was wonderful to be able to return to this magnificent ambiance. Even if there were moments where the film could have been better, it was fantastic and I was pleased to see the return of magic.
