Chocolate chip cheeseball

A simple recipe for a sweet treat


If you’re looking for a simple recipe that is similar to a red velvet cupcake but unique, this is the recipe for you! This is the perfect dish to bring to an event like a family gathering, potluck, a picnic, etc! This can be served as a dip with graham crackers, or eaten with a spoon.


  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, room temperature
  • ½ cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups of red velvet cake mix, dry
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of. brown sugar
  • Half a bag of chocolate chips, semi-sweet
  • Graham crackers – for dipping


  1. Mix together the dry ingredients (powdered sugar, red velvet cake mix and brown sugar)
  2. Add the wet ingredients (butter and cream cheese) and mix until it’s a similar consistency to a dough
  3. Saran wrap the mixture in a ball
  4. Leave in the fridge for 2 hours or over night
  5. Take out of saran wrap and roll in chocolate chips
  6. Then eat with graham crackers or on it’s own
