In recent years, Disney has been turning their animated movies into live-action films. These productions can evoke a mix of reactions from the public.
While some movies received positive ratings, others have not done so well.
For instance, “The Little Mermaid” and “Snow White” were both live-action movies that received criticism due to the casting.
However, there are some live-action movies that are known for their good casting. “Beauty and the Beast” and “Cinderella” both had positive ratings because of how the actors portrayed the characters.
Currently, “Tangled” is one of the most recent movies being converted to live action. Rumored to come out sometime in 2027.
Many fans are excited, especially those in the newer generations since the animated movie came out in 2010.
Although, there have been many controversies on the casting and how the actual movie will turn out.
Many wanted to see a lot of different actors play in the movie together because of their chemistry without considering their acting ability.
There were many considerations for the actors, some of them being in shows and movies that many have already seen, one of those movies being “Zombies,” which had a very big movie franchise.
Many wanted to see actress Meg Donnelly come back with actor Milo Manheim since they had starred in “Zombies” together as main characters.
Another actress that was wanted by fans was Freya Skye, but many didn’t like the pair up between her and Manheim due to the age gap.
In the long run, Disney chose actress Teagan Croft, who isn’t as commonly known. She is recognizable for her role in “Titans.” When she was given the lead role, it was a surprise to most because people were expecting Disney to choose a more renowned actress.
Croft was picked due to her ability to embody the curious princess persona.
Disney is planning on keeping the same or similar story line. They plan on featuring key aspects from the animated version like the tower, the Snuggly Duckling and the Kingdom of Corona.
Many are very excited for the film while others are more hesitant due to how some of the other live-action renditions have done.
