Niang Lun

Niang Lun, News Reporter

Hello everyone! My name is Niang Lun and I am a News writer for The Journal. I am currently a sophomore, and I am excited to spend more of my high school years being on this wonderful staff. There are so many things I look forward to, one of them is creating work that others can enjoy! I am a social person. A little quiet at first, but you could literally start a conversation with any topic and I’ll be talking non-stop. It doesn’t matter what it is about, as long as I find it interesting. I love music as well. Recommend me a song and I’ll probably enjoy it 99 percent of the time. Some of my favorite artists are The Smiths, Erykah Badu, Bruno Major, Mazzy Star, Laufey, Lamp and so many more. I love sitcoms like The Office or The Middle. I also love K-dramas, one of my favorites being “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.” Right now, I hope to work on something related to communications in the future. Pursuing something with writing is definitely an interest and a goal in the future, which is why being on The Journal is so beneficial! I am so excited to produce writing for this team and work my way to the top! There is no doubt in my mind that The Journal will help me reach the best of my abilities.

The food court in the mall can be seen with no one in sight on Aug. 12. After the mass shooting at the mall, an empty food court was a common sight.
