Owen Hodges, Features Editor
Hey everyone! I’m Owen, back for my second year on staff as Features Editor. Last year I was a News Reporter and now I’m very excited about being an editor, especially of the Features Section. I’m also a trumpet player in the Marching Band and outside of school I'm learning clarinet and guitar, and I also study music theory on top of those three instruments. I consider myself quite the nerd. After high school I plan on pursuing a career in psychiatry, teaching, or even a career in science (specifically in biology). I know, they’re all very different things. When I’m not annoying my friends with random fun facts they don’t care about, I enjoy reading, collecting LEGOs, collecting vinyl records and watching various TV shows. As of now, I’m only a few seasons away from finishing “Criminal Minds” and I’m currently rewatching “The Big Bang Theory.” Although I don’t have any animals myself, I’m an extreme animal lover, my favorite being elephants. Marching Band and The Journal are basically the only aspects of my personality and I’m completely fine with that. When I’m not doing the hobbies I already mentioned before, you can often find me listening to music. I mostly listen to artists like David Bowie, Elton John, Queen and P!nk to name a few. Thank you for taking time to learn a little about me and I hope you enjoy the great work The Journal produces and will produce in the future!
