Julia Brookshire

Julia Brookshire, Online Managing Editor

Hello! My name is Julia Brookshire and I am the Online Managing Editor this year for The Journal. My journey to this position has been in fast forward, from spending part of the 2018-2019 as a rookie reporter to spending four issues as the News Editor. I have certainly been blessed with my experiences on The Journal. Some of my highlights from last year include covering Donald Trump’s rally and helping in the production of a story on gun laws that had quite the list of sources. It’s now my senior year though and I can’t believe how time has flown by. Aside from working for The Journal I am a dancer. I have been dancing for 17 years and am principal dancer for the Indianapolis Youth Ballet Company. Of all the styles of dance pointe is my favorite. In addition to performing and editing I’m planning for my life after high school. My top college that I want to go to is Butler University to double major in dance and journalism. Butler has been my dream school for as long as I can remember. I love the environment of the campus and all the wonderful people. The whole waiting process is nerve wracking and patience is not a strong suit for me. Good luck to all the seniors out there figuring out their future!
