Megan Rogers

Megan Rogers, Section Managing Editor

Hey everyone! My name is Megan Rogers and I am one of the Managing Editors of The Journal this year! I will be working with our News, Sports, Culture and Opinion sections. This is my third year on The Journal. I was a News and Foreign Language writer my first year and served as our News editor last year. I am so excited to take on this new position and work with the rest of this year's staff! Outside of the Journal, I am in a Girl Scout troop and also help lead an elementary Girl Scout troop. I also work at a Mexican restaurant. And this year I am taking piano/keyboard, and hope to add that instrument to my many hobbies. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and reading. I like almost every genre of music but one of my favorite artists is Leanna Firestone. I also really enjoy Taylor Swift. In terms of reading, I mostly read science-fiction or romance. I have a very large family, with 5 siblings and over 50 cousins (yes, we’ve counted). It can get really crazy sometimes, but I love it! I can’t wait for this year’s Journal staff to get started and I am so excited to see the amazing work I know that we will produce together!
