Russell Peterson-Womack, Sports Editor
Howdy y’all it’s Russell Peterson-Womack, or otherwise known as RPW. It’s technically only my second year being on The Journal, but it sure feels like a lot longer. Last year, I was a Sports Reporter that developed an interest in journalism and even collected a few accolades. Going into my senior year, I have taken on the role as Sports Editor. This is perfect for me as I love sports and play football for the school. Unfortunately, I underwent surgery for my throwing arm last August and am in the process of getting my strength back. When I’m not playing sports or working for The Journal, I’m probably either working at the Baxter YMCA, lifting with the bros or hanging around town with my best friend. I love to go fishing at little ponds scattered around nearby neighborhoods or simply walk around the mall. I also collect wrist watches. Right now, I have about a dozen I’ve collected since freshman year. In the future, I’d like to pursue journalism and secondary education at IU. This year, I’m looking forward to figuring out what I’m good at and what I want to do in life.
