Recipe: Cranberry Walnut Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp. grated orange peel
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Stir in orange juice, orange peel, shortening and egg. Mix well. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Pour into greased 9 in by 15 in pan. Bake for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and serve
