Hello, hello! My name is Kaylee, I am a senior and this is my first year working on The Journal as an artist and Entertainment Reporter. I have three siblings and at one point, we fostered 10 cats that were all named after food. I had always had an interest in writing, but what really motivated me to join The Journal was the feedback I got from my English teacher on my Of Mice And Men essay about the loss of innocence. I really enjoy writing dramatic poems about McDonald’s sprite and frogs. I’m currently writing a fantasy story about witches and princesses falling in love. When I’m not daydreaming about living in a cottage in the woods, I’m looking up tutorials on new crochet patterns, watching Studio Ghibli films, (The Wind Rises is my favorite) and ordering new books on my reading list. But my all time favorite thing to do is read an entire book trilogy in three days, and then complain about the lack of sleep I’ve gotten. I hope to make my last year at SHS, and first year on The Journal, absolutely incredible.
