Rachel Bayler, Print Managing Editor
Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a senior and the Managing Editor of Print for The Journal this year. Some of the things I’m involved in include SHS’s jazz choir Premium Blend and NHS. I am an avid lover of classic rock and jazz, though I can generally groove to any genre. Sometimes when I hit shuffle, Hozier will play followed by Hall and Oates and Chet Baker. My all time favorite band is Fleetwood Mac not only for its intensely dramatic past but because of the amazing things its members have done for music, including the queen herself Stevie Nicks. History is another one of my passions, as is reading. Some of my favorite books include “Wuthering Heights” by Emily Brontë, “Jacob Have I Loved” by Katherine Paterson and the “Poldark” series by Winston Graham. I love watching old movies on Turner Classic and Netflix, including my favorite, “When Harry Met Sally,” and I think “Arrested Development” seasons one through three are some of the most underrated comedic content on television. Also, dogs are possibly the most amazing and adorable creatures on the planet. I’m so excited for this upcoming year and to be a part of this amazing publication.
