The Journal Rewired

Claire Steinbrook

Claire Steinbrook, Entertainment Reporter

Hi, My name is Claire Steinbrook! I am a sophomore this year, and this is my first year on The Journal as an entertainment writer! After taking a journalism class my freshman year, I realized that writing was something I wanted to focus on, and The Journal gives me the perfect opportunity to do so. Other than The Journal, I tend to focus on my academics and hope one day I can attend Purdue University to study Actuarial Science! Outside of school, I like to bake, watch TV and read. Some of my favorite shows are New Girl and Gilmore Girls. If I’m not watching those, you can find me reading any crime novel, but my favorite is The Silent Patient. Although I love staying at home, traveling is what has my heart. I love seeing all the different sites and finding so much happiness in other places. Places like New York City and Las Vegas! I feel that it gives me a chance to find the things I enjoy doing the most, especially when I find things that I can do alone. I am a known introvert in my family, I can only be found with my best friend, Mallory, or my mom. Even though being in my comfort zone is nice, I hope that The Journal can show me new people and experiences that I’ll never forget!
