Darcy Leber, Photographer

Hi, my name is Darcy and I am new to The Journal as a photographer! I am extremely excited to be a photographer, and be on The Journal in general. I am a junior and have been at Southport my whole life. Besides being on The Journal, I play softball and have played since I was a kid. I am also super into music. My favorite song right now is “Bad Habit” by Steve Lacy. Anyone who knows me knows that I am an avid concert attender, and will be forever. I started going to concerts when I was 5. My favorite genre of music is indie-rock or alternative. This includes my favorite band of all time, Wallows. I’ve seen them live twice, as well as met them twice. I love collecting vinyl records , my dad and I’s combined are 4 boxes big, or 172 records (I counted) and more to come. When I’m not listening to music, I am sitting around watching TV or a good movie. My favorite TV show is Grey’s Anatomy and my favorite movie of all time is The Princess Bride. My summer consisted of going out with my friends and being at the gym. My favorite pastime is being with my friends, no matter what we are doing. I hope you all enjoy the amazing pictures I’m going to take, because I know I will enjoy taking them!
