Grace Elder, Editor-in-Chief
I feel like I’m getting deja vu because this is the third time I have written a staff bio for The Journal. Who would’ve thought that I could enjoy that feeling so much? Last year I served as the Photos Editor, which I quickly learned to love so dearly. But, with this new year comes a new exciting change. Although I never expected the Room 400 podium to be where I would reside, I am beyond thrilled it is where I will be spending my senior year. And with that, I am so honored to be the Editor-in-Chief of this incredible newspaper. Last year exceeded all of my wildest expectations. I was able to gain new friendships on staff, all while finding myself in the midst of chaos we call high school. Aside from The Journal, I continue to fall in love with photography all the time. If you have ever wondered who the strange girl with the camera is at all school events, constantly getting in peoples way, sorry, that was me. That was kind of a fake apology because I loved every minute of it. I also enjoy taking pictures for my youth group at Calvary Tabernacle, an incredible church dedicated to reaching the city of Indianapolis. My summer consisted of cooking, buying weekly flowers for myself, hanging out with friends and spending extra time with my sweet family. I worked a 9 to 5 all summer as a receptionist at a law firm, so I am just excited to be around people my own age again. Let’s do this!
